Each has their own variations in gameplay, but all they’re all very similar in style. One of the most important features are the Jackpots. It’s a progressive jackpot game with 4 levels of jackpot.
A small ‘Power Jackpot’ usually in the hundreds. A bigger ‘Extra Power Jackpot’ in the thousands. A ‘Super Power Jackpot’, in the ten thousands. Finally, an upper ‘Ultimate Power Jackpot’, which normally hovers within the hundred thousands, but has reached a million.
It’s a 5-Reel 20-Line Progressive slot game. The game has 20 fixed active paylines and your total bet per game round is your stake (line bet) × 20. You can stake 1p upwards which will cost 20p per spin, but you can’t change the paylines.
Like most games, there are scatter wins, wilds and bonus features and free games. For example:
If Zeus, Athena, Hercules, Poseidon and Aphrodite all appear consecutively on the active paylines and in any order, you can win 200 x you payline stake.
Age of the Gods bonus
If you land in the bonus round, you get the chance to select from 20 coins that hide symbols of the Gods: Athena, Zeus, Poseidon and Hercules. If you unveil 3 symbols of a single God, you’ll unlock their free game feature.
It’s a medium volatility game because the input needs to feed the jackpots, so expect your wagers to contribute to the progressive prizes. This is also reflected in the fact the minimum RTP sites at around 94%. We’ve seen worse for progressive prizes, but often they’re games that can pay out multi-millions. Its below the average for a standard slot, but that’s not a bad RTP for a progressive.
In terms of theme and game play – Immortal Romance closely resembles Age of the Gods set up. It’s a completely different storyline, but the features are similar – except there’s more paylines and moreways to win, because there’s no progressive jackpot. If you’re looking for a progressive as an alternative, then see below.
It has a similar feel with the Characters features, although in this game you’re expected to progress upwards through the character’s free spins levels. If you’ve got time on your hands and the money to risk playing this for a while, then you might find yourself getting bigger and better rewards as the free spins increase. Once you unlock a character and trigger the free spins game, you can either select that new character's amount or play with an of the other characters you have unlocked.
Wilds and characters across paylines in winning combination pay well, so keep any eye out for those. The free spins rounds don’t appear to be enhanced in any way, which is why they can come quite frequently, allowing you to progress through the levels.
The paylines are fixed like Age of the Gods and you decide on your payline stake. The minimum full wager per spin is £0.30 with a max bet of £6.00.
The wild desires bonus features is pretty cool – it arrives at random and takes over between 1 and 5 reels making every symbol actively wild. You’d hope to get the bonus takeover reel one, but that’s not always the case. You can quite easily come away with nothing.
This game has an RTP of 96.86%, which is just above the average making it little more player friendly than Age of the Gods in our opinion.
It’s a volatile slot because it packed with bonus features, they do come if you’re patient. The smaller wins though aren’t that frequent, so be prepared to ‘play’ the game! It comes with a storyline and the developers expect players to give this some attention and play along for longer than your average game.
Mega Moolah – Progressive Jackpot
Megah Moola is one of most popular progressive slot games. It’s a pretty volatile game, similar to Age of the Gods and Immortal Romance, but with an unimpressive RTP of 88.12%. But its not all doom and gloom! Because the high FTP is helping to feed one of the most impressive the progressive jackpots outy there.
In the past 12 months we've seen the jackpot pool touch £12 million. Its one of the riskiest games we have and should be treated with caution, but the potential (much like a lottery) is an impressive millionaire making win.
